The app that revolutionizes the relationship between dealership, workshop and customer.

The context

The automotive market has undergone a profound evolution in the last decade that has required a change in strategy on the part of dealerships and workshops.

The reduction in commercial margins has required, and requires, companies in the sector to overcome the business model based on sales only to adopt strategies based on customer loyalty and on pre-sales and post-sales services.

The challenge

Identify and implement a digital solution capable of providing added value to both dealerships and workshops and their customers, by favoring:

  • Customer loyalty
  • Two-way communications between dealership / workshop and customers
  • The management of the processes of estimation, sale and interventions in the workshop increasing:
    • Customer satisfaction
    • The effectiveness of the processes
    • The efficiency and simplicity of the processes

The project

The project involved the creation of two tools:

  • An app for Android and Apple smartphones (mainly for use by customers)
  • A web management system for use by the dealership / workshop staff

Additional functions have been added to the app for use by the dealership staff (taking photos and videos of the vehicles and / or breakdowns, photographing documents during the sale phase, consulting interventions in progress, and more). The web management system provides different access levels with different functions according to the functions performed (sales, back office, workshop, management).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The app and the management system communicate in real time, allowing the sending of messages and notifications to the customer both automatically (start and end of intervention notices, notification of changes to the estimate of an intervention, reminders for appointments, and more) and Upon request (sending communications to a specific customer, sending communications to groups of customers).

Pre-sales

The myCars system simplifies the management of quotes by the dealership and establishes a communication channel with the customer; The customer can view the quote and options and request an appointment.

The customer:

  • View your quote on the app, along with options

  • Receives confirmation of the appointment and / or the change in date and time
  • Receive a reminder notification the day before the appointment

The dealership:

  • Enter and consult the data of the estimate

Sale

myCars simplifies the management of the sale for the dealership through a dedicated interface that retrieves any previous data and being able to use the app to photograph the customer's documents. The customer will find the car already entered with all the information and documents on his app.

The customer:

  • Find your car data in the app
  • Get notified when your booklet is ready and can view it on the app
  • View all the documents of your car on the app
  • Receive a notification and a video when the car is ready for delivery

The dealership:

  • Enter and consult the data relating to the sale
  • Use the app to photograph customer documents and scan them without the need to scan them
  • You can send the customer a video when the car is ready for collection
  • In the case of existing customers, it automatically retrieves the data and documents already present without having to re-enter them

Workshop

The workshop section of myCars performs two important functions: it makes it easier for the workshop to manage interventions and establishes a privileged channel of information for the customer, who is informed of the progress of the intervention. The customer can also request an intervention (attaching photos and videos) and view the history of the interventions carried out.

The customer:

  • Request an appointment (possibly attaching photos and videos)
  • Receives confirmation of the appointment and / or the change in date and time
  • Receive notifications on the progress of the work (started, in progress, car ready to be collected)
  • Receive notifications of any changes to the quote, view the new quote and approve or reject it
  • At the end of the intervention, you can consult the summary of the same on the app and view the invoice

The workshop:

  • Manage customer appointment requests or create new appointments
  • View and manage the intervention calendar, divided by departments and workshops
  • Manages the acceptance of the vehicle, inserting any photos and videos of the incoming car with the app;
  • It enters the stages of progress of the work and requires approval for changes to the estimate
  • Closes the job by entering the invoice

The dealership:

  • Limited to its customers, it can access documents that the customer has not classified as private, streamlining internal “bureaucratic” activities

This section of myCars allows customers to enter their documents (including photos) and be notified when they expire.

Communications

myCars allows two-way communication between dealership / workshop and customers. Customers can send photos and videos (for example of breakdowns or repairs to be done); the dealership can send both individual and generic or profiled communications (based on model, registration, power supply, etc.)

The customer:

  • It can send communications to the workshop accompanied by photos and videos (for example: the fault, the dashboard warning light)
  • Receives individual communications from the dealership or workshop (vehicle delivery, estimate deadline, other)
  • Receives communications relating to your vehicle and / or commercials (recall campaigns, commercial initiatives)

The dealership / workshop:

  • Send individual communications to the customer
  • Send commercial communications to the customer
  • Send communications to specific customer groups (based on model, year, power supply, other)
  • View statistics relating to the reading of messages and the use of buttons (Call, Visit the site, Request an appointment) in the communications
